You receive the EMB file which is fully customizable. You do need a digitizing software that reads EMB files so please make sure you'll be able to open the file in your software. 

This is an Applique style design so you will need a thick material to embroider on and give shape to the design as well as thick clear backing to embroider the final satin and be able to punch it out of it cleanly like if it were a patch.

The other files are ready to embroidery straight from you machine but will be bound to the dimensions listed above. You will need a separate file to add the name if you're loading up one of these files(.DST \ .PES \ .EXP \ .VP3 \ ).
